Sonning

At 240 acres Sonning was quite some size. Set in Berkshire and formed from a typical dreg-lined gravel extraction, The lake was full of straight gravel bars and islands. Most of Sonning was out of bounds to Anglers with only two sections available to fish on the Reading Angling ticket. With fish like 'The Eye' (Click Here) people still had a deep interest in fishing this lake. The lake is not the same anymore as it has recently incorporated a Olympic sized rowing course and has been joined with the lake next door.
