The Wels Catfish with its huge head and huge mouth grows bigger than any other European fish.

In Britain the Wels Catfish is an import, First introduced at Woburn Abbey in 1880, Due to our Cold winters they tend to semi-hybernate for as long as half the year.

However in France, Germany and Spain the Wels can double if not tripple the size of our British Wels.
