The Dace

Identification: Narrow, Pointed head, Yellow Eyes Silver Flanks, Deeply forked tail

Lifespan: 10-12 years

Habitat: Stretches of clean Rivers and some Stillwaters

Common Methods: Float Fishing

Best Baits: Maggots and Casters

The Dace is a River fish that loves to dart up and down the fast flowing layers of water.

Although they look quite like a Roach you can easily tell them apart just from the Yellow eyes unlike the Red eyes of a Roach.

A specimen roach is a rare catch!the British Record remained unchaged since 1960.
